How to Remove a Lace Front Wig Youself Easily?

After wearing a lace wig for 10-14 days,you need to clean it. Human hair wigs are starting to become all the rage these decade years.Not only do they look like your own hair,it can be maintained as a wash and go style for a long period of time. You can get any style, color,texture or length you want and lace front wig can also be custom made to your liking.

1.Apply lace wig solvent. There are lots of solvents available on the market that are specially made for lace wigs. These solvents will soften adhesives that you can remove the unit easily. If you don't like to afford a solvent, isopropyl alcohol works well too.
To apply solvent or alcohol to the unit, use a q-tip, make-up applicator or small brush and rub along the front and back of hairline. tug, rubbing more solvent at resistant areas gently. Keep doing this til you feel the grip of the wig loose enough to pull off from the skin.
The unit won't simply slide off with a pull without solvent is used. Rather, you will have to carefully tug at small section of the wig to get it to come up. and you may tear the delicate lace if you don't take care when tugging. If you do damage it, don't worry, some lace wig sellers or hair shops offer lace wig repair services as well.

2.Gently remove the lace front wig. As tempting as it will be to just pull the wig off once the glue is loosened, that could be a mistake. You maybe missed a couple of areas where the bond is still reasonably secure and tearing the unit ultimately.
If you are impatient with the process, just don't forget that you have spent a lots of money on your hairpiece. Replacing and repairing it could be expensive and will take more time.
With painstaking care, use your fingers to grab one area and pull it off, again dotting the resistant spots with solvent until you feel the glue loosen its hold finally. Once you know clearly that the unit is free, you may cautiously remove the unit from your head by youself.

3.Clean your scalp. Olive oil is great for cleaning the glue that is left on the scalp and hair and you can work it into the glue with your fingertips. Any kind or brand will work, as we only wish to use it to make the glue softer.
Once you have managed to get a large portion of the adhesive off, you can use soap and water to remove any excess.
This may be a happy time in the shower and wash your own hair prior to applying the lace wig unit again. Clean skin and oil free hair make the unit setting last longer and is quite healthy for your scalp and skin.

4.Wash and clean the lace front wig. This could be your time to wash and condition the hairpiece. Although you can wash it while it is on your head, it is better to wash the unit in the sink with a mild shampoo followed by a light, oil free conditioner.
Use a wide wig brush to detangle hair and try not to pull on the unit to avoid shedding.
Allow it to air dry, but if you need to wear it immediately, you can sit it on a wig stand and set it under a hooded dryer until it is ready to be placed back on your head.
After it dries enough,If you still can find a bit of residue on the wig, you can take a mirror and slide the glued area of the wig on it--like magic, the glue will rub off onto the mirror. When done, you can clean the mirror and prepare to apply the unit onto your head if you want to wear it urgently.
